What type of steels are they? 1045? 1060? 9560?

They use 1060 for their monosteel jians. But the type of steel does not say everything, the way it is made (like heat treatment) is more important for the final result than steels used.

Knowing is not enough, we must apply.
Willing is not enough, we must do.

Not necessarily, the type of steel plays a major factor in how the sword is heat treated, and how well it can hold an edge and such. 1060 or 9560 will hold a better edge than 1045 because it can be queched to a higher hardness because of the higher carbon content.
That being said, the mono steel swords I believe are either 1050 or 1060, some where in that range. The mutli-steel swords I do not know.
