Actually, that was never truly Huanuo's site, but a resellers... don't know what is happening with them...taiwandeutscher wrote:... Huanuo site is down... Is it possible to visit the forge? Aren't they based in Shanghai?
As for visiting the Huanuo Factory, last word I heard is that they aren't really open for visitors. It is a very active place & I think they just don't have the time for tourist visits...

Sorry to hear that, though I don't see myself as a tourist, lol.
I have bought not only a few of their swords/sabres through a Taiwan contact, and I'm sure they will guide me, if I ask.
Well, thanks anyway, I see what you mean.

They have an office in DT Shanghai, not sure if it is still there. Their forge is quite a bit outside of SH if i understood them correctly. If you want to see swords there are some old swords in the SH museum, but lots in the BJ military museum if you could make it out there.
BTW, most everyone from antique dealers to bb gun vendors are not selling anything that resembles a weapon because of the world expo in SH. Heck, you even have to produce an ID to buy a kitchen knife in SH because of the Expo. On the bright side, the city is nice with all the construction done and much less dusty.
