Five Important Elements of Test Cutting

Post by Scott M. Rodell » Wed Mar 07, 2007 12:19 pm

Today we had our first Test Cutting training here in the Netherlands (fortunately it stoped raining long enough that we didn't have to practice in the rain). Before we began, we went over Five Important Points in Shizhan (Test Cutting):

1- Respect the Blade & Alway Pay Attention to Safety.

2- Plan Your Cutting Practice & Call Your Target.

3- The Edge Plane & the Plane of the Cut Must be the Same.

4- Control the Entire Cut, Begining point of cutting & Follow Thru.

5- Wipe Down & Inspect the Blade Regularly During Cutting Practice.
