Hey,
Name's Dan, and I just started at Great River.
A few folks were interested in starting an informal push hands meetup. I figured I'd start things off with this:

I believe Wu Shen Tao (Takoma Park) has free push hands every Tuesday: http://www.wushentao.com
This would be a good opportunity to push with new people, as well.

Informal practice on Fridays.
Hi there,
Some of us will start practicing on Fridays, at 12:30 pm, at Lafayette Park: 16th street between H and Pennsylvania. It is about one and a half blocks from the McPherson and Farragut metro stations and about three blocks from Metro Center (13th street exit). All are invited to join.
If I understand it correctly, we plan to take it easy, so it does not become a burden. One goes if one wants to, and if nobody else goes, one practices alone and that is ok.
We'll probably do various things, depending on attendance: basics, form, push hands, or michuan.

From there, facing 17th street on the side is a clear area and a giant tree.
