You have it right,sink straight down on your legs so that the knees are in a vertical line with your toes. If you sink further, you can stress your knees, remember, you will be standing 30 minutes.

I stood in this fashion, last night, and I could (not surprisingly) stand much longer. This is good news, for me. I also tried to extend my arms more, while dropping the elbows, after reading this thread, yesterday.
