The Niu Wei Dao - Oxtail Saber on this site.

How come they do not show this on the ZhengWu site?
I believe this is the only Oxtail Dao I have seen with a folded blade available today, is that correct? Thanks
Anyone have this sword, or have experience with it?

I can't say for sure if they come from ZhengWu or not, perhaps Kenneth can.
There are many ripoffs made in China, most notably from ZhengWu as they are the only better forge that is well known inside China. Longquan is officially the only place where one can make sharp swords so the others in China tend to be more low profile in their own country and aim more at the Western market.
On forge folded niuweidao, Huanuo does them as well. I got two of them at the moment, they are pretty nice. My only point of critique is their fittings which are a bit too fancy for my taste (and when comparing to period weapons) and they miss the thickening at the forte so the saber is not held in the scabbard very tightly.

Yes it is a Zheng Wu sword. Masterforge describes this one as a 'custom designed niu wei dao'.Peter Dekker wrote:I can't say for sure if they come from ZhengWu or not,
