Dao's handles I have made

Post by Chris Fields » Tue Jul 24, 2007 8:22 pm

Just wanted to show some Dao handles I have made in the past. Basically, I can get LungChuan (Dragonwell) Dao at wholesale. If you have ever worked with one of these, you probably know that they are heavier than a traditional dao, but good for forms training. We also use them some times for technigue training, however, I buy longer blades, and then cut off the handle and rat tail tang completely, and then cut up the blade a couple inches and add my own handle to a now much wider tang. I would love any feed back you guys would like to offer. Thanks

Guard and pommels are 304 stainless steel, grips are wrapped in leather and brass cord.
