Master Wang and the Public Sword Form

Did Master Wang learn the Public Form? I was looking at some old footage of Master Wang demonstrating his new form. He does a movement that looks a lot like Vigilant Cat catches the Rat. So... did he pull that from Public Form?

Master Wang studied several martial arts before he studied the Yang Family Michuan Taijiquan with Zhang Qinling, including three systems of baynet fighting. Among the styles he studied was Yang Banho's Yang Style Taijiquan which was taught publically.

What you are probably noticing is that in one jian form Master Wang practices, there are many movements that are very similar to the public Yang Style Taiji Jian form. That is because it is the same form, but done in the Michuan fashion from the back leg instead of a bow posture. Master Wang "created" this form, or at least this Michuan-ized version.
