Hi scott sorry, maybe I didn't use the proper term, I was asking if
there is any particular indication about hands and fingers in the
empty hand form. In some style for example the hand should be
wide open, in some others it takes a "tiger mouth" shape ecc.

Certainly... most of the time one uses the palm for striking, but there are movements when one could either the palm or fingers depending on the target, such as with the movement Step Back & Repulse Monkey. Then there are movements where the knife edge of the hand is used (Wang Laoshi used the common Mandarin term, daozhang, literally knife palm for this). And all strikes below the nipple level are made with a fist.
