Re: taijiquan and dim-mak
The Dragon Society' has researched and teached a system of applied science in relation to Dimak-pressure point applications that is very complete in a systematic way of learning and is related to the 5 elements theory at the basic level, their science can be incorperated into any fighting system. Re: Executioner's sword
A bit off topic but the most disturbing pics I have ever seen are of the Chinese 'Death by 1000 cuts' there are pics of this practice on youtube in what looks to be quite recent history, similar grainy photos as the ones posted in this thread. Very horrible to look at though

Re: Conditioning training for Taiji
I do push-ups on my fingers several times a week, but only for arm and hand exercise rather than any iron finger ability, make sure your fingers are bent and not straightened when you do them if you are going to try, or over time you may damage the joints in your hands. Conditioning training needs t...

Re: Custom Meteorite Jian Project
No bites yet' I'll have a go.. I always liked the Royal Poeny fittings but in my opinion those gold plated open work ones you have there are going to look real slick with a nice beefy handle wrap right up to the guard paired up with a nice dark red rosewood scabbard or the like. They look chunky too...

Re: The making of traditional handmade sword fittings
Hello Angelo' Thanks for your interest. Yes i am very happy to see how the design is progressing also, the overall theme is obviously of the dragon with leafy background. There are many combinations for dragon themes that Charles can do, such as water background or clouds. I favored the late Qing st...

The making of traditional handmade sword fittings
Hello all' The aim of this thread is to follow the making of handmade open work Jian fittings from a traditional craftsman in China. There are not that many people around with this skill known in the west so I'm sure there will be a lot of interest in the whole process from start to finish for every...

Re: How Tony Mosen Jian Handle Compares to Real Jian
Here's a tipp' Assemble your fittings to your jian and see how it balances on the end of your finger' play with different handle sized blocks of hardwoods or what you plan to use to see how it effects the POB. The weight won't change that much after it has been shaped, and your jian will balance rig...

Re: weight distribution question
Hi Chris'' No it is a different Jian, i still have the one you are thinking of. The blade is thick and slender in width, i'm sure it would have had heavy Iron fittings in its battle ready days, its kitted out with Brass Dragon Spring fittings now so it is slightly tip heavy just like your old one. C...

(not fajin) sorry i went a bit off topic. I edited my post so as not to confuse Nei Gong with Fajin. I have been on the recievin...
