Re: old Yang-style = Michuan???
I have seen some movies on the internet from Thierry Alibert. He promotes the old-Yang style and i must say, i'm impressed. And i'm from the Pukulan-circles.... You can watch previews from his website http://www.thierryalibert.com It's in French so you have to look a little bit. he is a student of ...

It came out several years ago that Hou Chi Kwang actually studied with Wang Yen-nien than returned from Taiwan & made the false claim that he studied with Yang Shao Huo. Several of Huo's own students admited this to me directly & asked me to correct their form ...

I'm not answering the question - just adding a few more of them while the topic is up. Why is 30 minutes zhanzhuang the prerequisite to san shou? Hi linda, in traditional kung fu schools I know 30 minutes (and more) of Zhanzhuang is a prerequisite for the whole practice, the first step to build the...

Actually they do, only not directly because they are a sub-set of other types of jin . For example, one can use an fajin with the either a palm, a fist, a hook (like in single whip), or the finger tips. The palms facing in, fingers of opposite hands pointing at each other, position is u...

Hi scott sorry, maybe I didn't use the proper term, I was asking if
there is any particular indication about hands and fingers in the
empty hand form. In some style for example the hand should be
wide open, in some others it takes a "tiger mouth" shape ecc.

If this question is absurd, it's because I've never seen the Michuan fist performed.
no, there's Pao Chui is in Yang Bao Hou's lineage but not in Yang Jiao Hou's.
