Thanks, Linda. It should be a good turnout, and a good time for learning.

Re: 2010 TCSL Beginners' Tournament Prize Jian
I whole-heartedly agree with at least two of the statements above: 1) Ducking has got to be eliminated straight away. 2) After such a concentrated effort, a few days of ease are necessary. It was a good effort from everyone, and I enjoyed it. It was a good measure of how our abilities would be affec...

What to Practice While Sick With Cold
To what extent should one practice, while sick with a cold? Doing full forms could be taxing, but I wonder if we should, perhaps, still do seated qi circulation or basic exercises. I have been able to do some sword cuts, for brief intervals. Any direction would be helpful. Thank you. -Trevor Costa

Linda, It is a very difficult art to get to know well. I have been studying for half the time you have, and there are days that I feel that the movements of taijiquan are really becoming internalized. Then I miss 3 days of practice and my feet and mingmen are so tense that I can't balance like I did...

Hold and Mold - Zhan Zhuang
Laoshir,
One time during class, as we held and molded the different postures, you mentioned gathering the qi. Would you say that each posture is a modified zhan zhuang, with the same benefits?
Thank you.

Chinese Writing above "20 Years" Tee
Laoshr, or anyone who can read Chinese characters, I was wearing the t-shirt that reads "20 Years" and has the Chinese characters on it, one day after a lunch practice. I went into the deli across the street and was told that the characters read "god". I went back to the office and looked up how "go...

Confirmation of Fa Jing & a Proper Structure
This question is mainly for senior students at GRTC, however I am open to other points of view, as well: "How is proper fa jing developed at our Schoool (GRTC)?" I understand that weapons forms help bring this out, however is there anything we can do before that? I see that correcting our structure,...

I believe Wu Shen Tao (Takoma Park) has free push hands every Tuesday: http://www.wushentao.com
This would be a good opportunity to push with new people, as well.

I can see how, if you are seeing pictures of older Yang members being very sunken, you might question how sunk is double-sunk? I have to admit it is a gray area for me, and the best I have been able to put together is if you are sunk so far it would be difficult to bring energy out, then you are dou...
