Liao

When doing liao, I always seem get "caught up" when my sword reaches just about shoulder level - my upper arm and shoulder tend to lock up. This happens especially when I liao on my easy side. Any suggestions?

sinking qi

How exactly does one "sink the qi" so that it soaks into the bones? I am not sure I quite understand that process or the meaning.

I have read descussions on this forum on what I would consider more advanced qi control and circulation issues. I, however, am a complete beginner and would like some guidance in developing and cultivating qi. Is standing post the preferred method to develop fellings of qi? I have read a lot lately ...
