Re: Who is is this Adept taiji player?
WOW. Wang Huaisian must be phenomenal. I've never met Albert but I know he's no joke. If Wang Huaisian makes pushing a seasoned player like Albert look that effortless, he must be the real deal. Albert, thanks for posting these videos on youtube!

Here's a video from a class taught by Jin Li Yan, a former Jiang Jing Guo bodyguard. They're just drilling some basic locking/striking applications, but it looks fun. Beware the devastating armpit poke! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57CQP8GgY-Y&mode=related&search= looking at that first video, it ...

white crane cools wings is not generally used for a palm strike to the head. the timing would be extraordinarily difficult and it would leave you very open. "white crane" can be used to deal with (1)a two handed push when one hand is coming low and the other is coming high, (2) to break someone's gr...

My main point was that what you are doing happens in your head but effects your whole body in ways that no one is likely to understand for quite a while. What you think is happening is probably actually happening in some very strange ways that leave me clueless. Josh the thing is that everything ha...

So use your lu (rollback) to deal with head shots, working to catch the attacking arm at the elbow with your elbow, & you'll easily deflect those punches, & please, keep your hands up! so when does it make more sense to do a standard elbow-to-elbow rollback, and when is it more appropriate to cover...

What is most interesting about having had learned qi circulation from these different Yang Taijiquan lineage teachers, at different times, is that they all taught the same method, meridians, direction, etc as each other. did William Chen and Robert Smith also teach female students to circulate in t...
